Aironet 1600 series joining problem

we have joined around 85 Aironet Aps in the WLC 5500 controller. it worked perfectly for some 3 months. however after that we found some issues with few of our APs. The APs are blinking Green, red, Amber for 2-3 times and then stay green for about 1 and half minute. Then again goes blinking Green, red and Amber.

it seems that the Ap can't join the controller anymore. Have not find any article how to fix this issue.

There are a few docs out there specific to troubleshooting ap join issues. Here is one:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/wireless/4400-series-wireless-lan-controllers/99948-lap-notjoin-wlc-tshoot.html

It is also best to console into the ap and look at the output especially after power cycling the AP. The output has good info on why.

The Absurd thing is that after unplugging and re plugging it works for quiet some time and I'm able to see it on the controller. Today i did test of both AP and the cable. the AP is looking to work elsewhere and the cable connection is also hundred percent good.

Today  after re plugging the AP worked for almost an hour and after that I can see the AP is gone from the controller. tired of this absurd behavior.

The AP also has worked with this cable for more than 6 months.

I don't know what code your on, but v7.4.130.0 or v7.6.130.0 is what you should be on.  If an access point joins, then the issue is probably network related but you would have to look into it more .
