Months back I was able to get my 350 pcmcia card to work with my powerbook G4 running OS X Panther 10.3 and now it will not work. I have done extensive troubleshooting and I am hoping someone can help me with this.
When the card is inserted the "Power off" menu icon that used to appear in the upper right corner does not. dmesg output the following line when the card is inserted
IOPCCard notice: cs: socket 0 timed out during reset
Upon removal this is what is outputed.
IOPCCard: shutting down socket 0.
Both the status and activity lights are solid and acu client says there is no radio found.
Although Cisco documentation is very misleading I have tried every release of firmware available from their site (flashing from a PC) and it still does not work. I am currently using 3.0.0 of the CiscoPCCardRadio kernel extension. System Profiler looking that this extension shows these problems.
Validity Errors: Kext has a kernel dependency prior to version 6.0 and CFBundleVersion does not match executable's MODULE_VERSION
I am really eager to get this working again on my mac as I have purchased a LCM350 (350 without the antenna) that I would like to use in some wireless testing.
I am really at a loss here so if people could tell me what they have working it may help. I really feel this is a bug with the Cisco software and OS X because other wireless cards are working in the slot.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
