Hi,
Ny entire network uses the 10.0.0.0/24 range
I have 4 Airronet AP1852I, 1 as a mobility express and the others as clients
On the AP I have the management lan on the 10.0.0.0/24 range, and DHCP pool is setup to server from 10.0.0.200 to 10.0.0.254
There is also another DHCP server on the LAN which serves 10.0.0.100 to 10.0.0.199
management IP is static on 10.0.0.15
All APs are set to use DHCP for their own addresses
The SSID is set to use this pool
I want all LAN devices to use the LAN DHCP server for addresses, but i want the wireless clients to get a IP address from the DHCP pool on the AP, this way the firewall can identtify if the client is a physical connection or a wireless connection based on the IP address its using.
My problem is that quite often a wireless client connected to the AP will get an IP address from the LAN DHCP server, not from the AP DHCP pool
How can i best ensure that the wireless clients always get an IP from the AP instead of the AP passing the request to the LAN server?
many thanks
