Hi,
I have an AP1231 I firstly configure this AP with a single SSID with wpa encryptions and also configure it to act as a local DHCP server. This all worked fine, with clients picking up and ip address etc.
Now I need to configure 2 SSIDs, each with a different type of encryption, so I configured 2 VLANS and 2 SSIDs with the appropriate encryption on both.
The problem I am having is that my local DHCP server on the AP does not assign ip addresses anymore. Do I need to do something special to allow the local DHCP sever worked in VLANs, is there any extra configuration lines I need to add.
Thanks in advance.
Tony.

Hi,
I havent been able to find any documentation on the subject, but I seem to remember that this is not possible. The DHCP server on the Aironet APs is very lightweight, and not meant to be used in any advanced situations. I´d suggest you use an external DHCP server instead.

Hello,
in the Cisco Docu exists a remark regarding using a local DHCP Server : Only supported on the native VLAN
!!
