Dear all,
I've got an issue here with some 1242AG access points:
A stationary mounted AP is configured to have two SSIDs in two VLANs on 2.4GHz radio module. One SSID is secured (WPA2), one not.
A mobile AP is configured as a WGB and connects some clients via a switch. This mobile AP connects to the stationary AP to the insecure SSID and works quite fine... usually.
Since some days, we experience some problems with this configuration, the log of the mobile AP shows e.g. :
Time Severity Description
000355: Mar 15 17:47:00.787 Warning Interface Dot11Radio0, Associated To AP AP_Airside1 003a.9857.9700 [None]
000354: Mar 15 17:47:00.765 Warning Interface Dot11Radio0, parent lost: Had to lower data rate
000353: Mar 15 17:46:40.886 Warning Interface Dot11Radio0, Associated To AP AP_Airside1 003a.9857.9700 [None]
000352: Mar 15 17:46:40.867 Warning Interface Dot11Radio0, parent lost: Had to lower data rate
The log is full of those entries, it occures every 20 seconds and after another 20-50ms it reassociates again.
The log of the stationary AP doesn't show anything connected to this !
A reload didn't bring a change, firmware on both APs is: 12.4(10b)JDA3
We did a wireless survey and had no other interfering networks in range. Also the coverage in the area is quite good.
Has anybody a hint for me how to further investigate?
Many thanks
