Hello community,
I have two 1572eac outdoor Access points and I want to configure them as a bridge between to buildings. Both of them are booting a LWAPP-Image, but I want them to be autonomous.
Directory of flash:/
2 -rwx 64 <date> sensord_CSPRNG0
3 -rwx 251 <date> mesh_port_cfg.txt
4 -rwx 278 <date> info
5 drwx 960 <date> c1570-k9w8-mx.153-3.JC
22 -rwx 6168 <date> private-multiple-fs
23 drwx 960 <date> c1570-k9w7-mx.153-3.JC
232 -rwx 0 <date> config.txt
233 drwx 0 <date> configs
As you can see there are two images in the flash of the access point. One for LWAPP and an IOS-Image. When I try to boot the IOS-Image the process fails and a message appears that the ap isn't able to load the firmware of the radio interfaces.
*Mar 1 00:00:17.955: %DOT11-4-LOADING_RADIO: Interface Dot11Radio0, loading the radio firmware (ram:)

Radio FW image download failed ....
Next, I downloaded the newest TAR-File from Cisco and copied it with TFTP on the access point.
After the copy process I booted the ap with the command ap: boot (forgot to unset boot) and he boots the lwapp-Image. I saw my failure and interrupted the boot process to execute the command: ap: boot flash:c1570-k9w7-mx.153-3.JD/c1570-k9w7-mx.153-3.JD
The ap boots but he cannot find the files for the Radio interfaces

So, is my approach wrong or did I miss something?
And there is something strange. The Flash contains files like These:
ap: dir flash:c1570-k9w7-mx.153-3.JD/
Directory of flash:c1570-k9w7-mx.153-3.JD//
238 drwx 64 <date> html

445 -rwx 1371 <date> img_sign_rel_sha2.cert
6319104 bytes available (34839552 bytes used)
And in the error message the software is looking for these files:
File not found: flash:c1570-k9w7-mx.153-3.JD/c1570-k9w7-mx.153-3.JD8004.img
File not found: flash:c1570-k9w7-mx.153-3.JD/c1570-k9w7-mx.153-3.JDL5.bin
File not found: flash:c1570-k9w7-mx.153-3.JD/c1570-k9w7-mx.153-3.JDP5.bin
File not found: flash:c1570-k9w7-mx.153-3.JD/c1570-k9w7-mx.153-3.JD8006.img
Is there a naming problem or did I something wrong with the boot command?
Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Daniel

I did this conversion using c1570-k9w7-tar.153-3.JBB4.tar (
See if that works

Hello Rasika,
sorry for my very late response.
I found a way to bring the bridge up with the correct image.
So I interrupted the boot process and deleted the complete lwapp-image from flash. Then I cleared the boot variable of the ap, so the ap will boot with the first image, which he finds in flash.
Finally the AP boots the coorect image without any error messages of missing files.
Thank you for your help.
Best regards,
Daniel
