AP, console connection issue

Hello everyone

I reset one of my Access point(Aironet 1600), and now I have not been able to connect it using console.

First I thought there might be some problem with my console cable, but I tried it on switches and it worked alright.

What could be the issue.

Any help is appreciated

Thank you

Hi,

Use the following settings for the terminal emulator connection:

9600 baud
8 data bits
None parity
1 stop bit
Xon/Xoff Flow control .If xon/xoff flow control does not work, use no flow control.

Regards

Hi Sandeep

Before doing reset, I used the same console cable to access my AP.

But I still will try different console cable, to see if it works.

What was your terminal set to? Was it the same as what was sated int eh post above? Keep in mind that there have been a lot of people here saying that their console cable works on a switch and doesn't work on the ap. I have also seen this and that is why I have specific rj45 to usb FTDI (https://www.amazon.in/CABLESETC-Console-Adapter-Converter-Windows/dp/B07MM5C11H/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=usb+to+rj45+console+ftdi&qid=1593446050&s=electronics&sr=1-2) This is what I have been using for many devices: https://www.amazon.in/Asunflower%C3%82%C2%AE-Cisco-Console-Cable-Windows/dp/B00RHDXDWA/ref=sr_1_7?dchild=1&keywords=usb+to+rj45+console+ftdi&qid=1593446050&s=electronics&sr=1-7
