Deepa.D

Level 1

Hi, i am trying to associate an AP with WLC. I entered the required command. The AP successfully downloaded the image as well from WLC. But it is not getting associated to the controller. It simply says ,  Translating "CISCO-CAPWAP-CONTROLLER"...domain server   (255.255.255.255). Also, the AP is in local mode only.

AP model: 3700 Series

WLC Model: 5508

Please help...

Post the complete output to the following commands:

1.  WLC:  sh sysinfo; and

2.  AP:  sh version

I am suspecting the AP has the wrong Regulatory Domain.

Time could be wrong. Make sure the WLC's time is synchronized using NTP.

Hi,

Did you try to force with static IP controller in your AP?, whit this command, directly in the AP (capwap ap controller ip address x.x.x.x).

or with reset to factory default in the AP.

Regards

%Error opening flash:/update/info (No such file or directory)

ERROR: Image is not a valid IOS image archive.

it seems the image you used for conversion is somehow corrupted or the conversion process was not OK.

Please try to do the conversion again and try.

BEFORE do conversion again try to remove the image from the AP and try to connect it again. what could possibly be corrupted the image the AP got from WLC. if you can remove that image by resetting the AP via the mode button then the image will be deleted and when you connect the AP a new better image will be downloaded from the WLC. Try this option first and if it did not work go for doing the conversion again.
