AP is in constant loop of discovery, no way for me enter commands

I have an access point which seems to be in mesh mode. I have found how to change that with a command when in the console. My issue is the AP starts up and when it gets to the login prompt it is automatically logging in and back to this discovery loop. I have already done the complete reset process and that didn't stop it. So i am at a loss on how to get it to boot up so I can run some commands to see what mode it is truly in. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try this:

debug capwap cli

debug capwap cli no-reload

Scott thanks for getting back to me. Whats funny is what i did was just type en and it gave me the login option. But the actions were happening to fast I had to type fast enough and enter for it to work. So after about 10-15 trys i was able to get the local mode command entered and it rebooted and acted like a regular AP for me. Funny that it just wouldnt quit after so many fails and let me try working in the CLI.

Yeah... don’t know, but capwap aps will reload so that it might join a controller. Sometimes it’s best to get your commands ready and just copy paste.
