Hi,
Suppose a client receving a good rssi from the ap (-45dBm) and another worst client is getting -80 dBm.
and ap power max is 17dBm
What will happen when the worst client talking to the ap ?
Is this because of bad deployment ?

Since client is far from the AP, it has to use lower data rates to communicate back to AP. This mean frames will take more airtime and other clients has to wait longer to access the medium.
This could also leads to something called "hiden node issue". If two clients can't hear each other (in this case far apart), then both can attempt to trasmit thinking medium is ideal. That will cause collisions and more re-transmissions.
Usually you do not want client with that low RSSI hang on to a given AP. Ideally client should have another AP with better RSSI and need to roam to that AP.
Since roaming decision taken by client, sometime you do not have that much control on this type of situations.

Hi,
My issue is the another giving -45 dBm but some phone shows -80 dBm.
what I mean by worst client means client with a bad nic ( not 802.11 b) .
A nic like proxim reporting -45 dBm and a phone reporting -75 dBm.
if a phone need a good signal we need to add an additional ap?
