Hi,
I need to select an AP which has below specs.
2.4 GHz 802.11b/g/n/ax and 5 GHz 802.11a/n/ac/ax, Device throughput of 1.5 Gbps, AP should support 2 x 2 multiple input, multiple output (MIMO) with two spatial streams, AP should have 1x 10/100/1000 BASE-T Ethernet port.
Use for a office environment that have max 40 users. Do web browsing. 2 Days per week maximum 10 users are attending to MS teams meetings. 2 APs are used per branch.
I need the most cost effective Meraki AP for this. Can I go with MR28 ?
Thanks

Based on your specifications, an MR28 matches.
Aside from specs, I would focus on:
- Are the current use-cases expected over the long term or is there a potential for that to change?
- When will the customer next perform an upgrade cycle?
- Is the environment sufficiently covered by two APs?
Other than that, I suggest contacting your Meraki sales team for further advice around pricing, and the potential of getting some trial kit.

Yes, the MR28 would be an option, but it would be interesting for you to consult your Sales Manager Maraki to help you choose an access point. It goes far beyond the technical specifications in the data sheet, so it would be good to talk to this person to raise all the possible needs you may have.

Interesting timing.
There is currently a global promotion on the MR36 with a 5-year licence. It is called the "CW-AP-LIT" promo bundle, and the promotion ends 27/07/25.
I would get a price on this promo, as you can probably get the much better MR36 for not much more money. The MR36 also includes a dedicated security radio, so the security is much better as well. That scanning radio is also used for measuring the free air time and interference in the different WiFi bands - so it is likely to be able to select a WiFi band that will offer better performance faster than an MR28.
