AP to CABLE

guys i have a cable broadband installed in my home i just bought cisco 1200 series access point...now can someone please guide me how to configure my access point.....i beleive i have to plugged fastethernet cable coming out of my cable modem to access point after that???? what i have to do ....do ihve to configure the cable modem as wlel or not??? many thanks

I assume you are using IOS based AP. Right? If so, following point should be helpful:

1. Setup "BVI0" int to your static private IP

2. Setup "enable" password

3. enable HTTP service of router

4. setup default gateway to your broadband router LAN side IP.

5. Login via browser for web admin config
