Autonomous 1572 in Bridge Backhaul

Hello All,

Thanks to anyone who can respond.  

I just set installed 2 autonomous 1572E APs as backhaul bridges only.  They are about 600 ft apart.  I'm using the AIR-ANT5114P2M-N= antenna on both sides.  These APs are installed on the roof of 2 buildings.  On the root bridge, I have a 2.4 GHz directional antenna pointed the in another direction that is bridged with a 1532 (not sure if that information is pertinent).  When I run the command, show controllers do1 radio-stats, this is my output on the root bridge:

Couple of questions...

1. Why all of the Data Retries?  What exactly are Data Retries?

2. Why can I not make use of the 80 MHz channel width.  The highest I get is a9.2-4 which from my research is 2 spatial streams at 40 MHz.  In the configuration of the radio, I have specified channel width 80.  Carrier busy test show very little interference on the 5 GHz band.
