Hi!

We have a wireless controller (Cisco 5508) and some LAPs in a bridge mode (mesh). Is there a way to block certain clients from joining certain APs?

To elaborate let's say there is MAP1 and MAP2 that are near to each other. We want this certain client to be able to join MAP1, but not MAP2. How can we achieve that? What if there are other clients that we want to exclude from joining certain MAPs?

Hi,

Not possible as far as I know. The methods WLC has to deny client access rely on SSID or Mac filter at WLC level, not AP level. I mean, once block, client will be blocked in any AP not one in specific.
