Bridge to another brand AP

I need to connect a 1230 to a 3rd party AP on another site... Non cisco and it's running in AP mode.. WEP encrypted... I have the key configured, and the SSID, when the radio starts I get this error.

*Mar 1 00:22:55.040: %DOT11-4-CANT_ASSOC: Interface Dot11Radio0, cannot associate: no wpa-v1 v2 chk needed

You will get this error if there is a mismtach in the security settings on the AP and client. Ensure that only open authentication with WEP key is enabled on the AP. And the WEP keys must match on the AP and the client.

If you have the Cisco device set for anything other than a client, it probably won't work.

"Bridge Mode" is not a standard and usually implemented as a proprietary protocol.
