Builtin Wlan cards cannot see my cisco 1200

Having trouble with 3 of my laptops, when i try to connect to my cisco 1200 ap, none of the laptops can see my wlan net when i use the builtin cards, it is a lifebook c1110 with intel 2200bg card, and a toshiba portege 3500 with an agere card. If i use 3coms wlan pccards i can see and connect to my cisco without any problem.

Any ideas anyone?

Check if all the cards are Wi-Fi standard cards.

You don't mention if any (or what) encryption or authentication is in use.

Do the laptops associate? Can you see thme in the association table of the AP?

You may need to load Windows SP2 if you're trying to use WPA. I've has several notebooks with built-in NICs fail to associate with our Lab's AP1200. According to HP / Compaq, they require SP2 to work with WPA / WPA-PSK.

You can also try disabling the Cisco Aironet Extensions.

Good Luck

Thank you for your answers!

I have solved the problem I had, i upgraded to the latest firmware on the AP, made a cold boot and then it worked!

I used cipher wep 128 bit, and mac authentication. My laptops had Intel 2200BG card which didn´t work at first, but now it´s up and running just fine.
