Can I configure wired guest on a 3850 MA/MC anchored to a 5508?

I am trying to configure a wired guest vlan in a site that does not have a local wireless controller.  I was hoping to use the 3850 as the local controller to anchor to a 5508 that is in the DMZ.  I have two 3850s, so could configure one as MA and the other as MC if necessary.  Also, the guest controller is already providing wireless guest, can I use the same interface/ssid to provide the wired guest?

What you want to achieve is possible by making both 3850 switches mobility controllers (one MC and MA works as well but in this case there is no benefit by doing this). Keep in mind that for enabling converged access features an IP Base or IP Services image license is required.

First of all you need to make sure that the 5508 WLC is running in "new mobility mode" and that both 3850 switches have the 5508 added in their mobility group list. Next you need to configure the guest LAN on the 3850's with as anchor the 5508. After you configured the anchoring for the new guest-lan on the 5508 you can select the egress interface you are currently using for wireless guest clients.

Keep in mind that the configurations are case sensitive and that they need to match on both sides. One catch is that the client VLAN ID needs to match on both the foreign and anchor WLC. For detailed configuration examples please check this document and this topic. If you are running into issues please share your configuration so we can take an look at it.
