Can MSE licenses rehosted

Hi,

Customer had older MSE appliances with licenses and want to move to virtual appliance MSE.  Wondering if the licenses can be rehosted or not?

In order for licenses to be re-hosted, the customer would need to have smartnet.  You would also need to make sure that the MSE versions are compatible with the license type because that can also determine if the license can be moved. If you have smartnet, then open a TAC case and just ask. It won't hurt and you would get your answer pretty fast.

Licenses are node locked and metered. These licenses are issued by Cisco licensing portal as part of the permission ticket to rehost a license. They are installed on the device as part of the rehost operation, and you must accept a EULA as part of the rehost operation.
