Cannot Join AP 1830 to Controller 2504

Hi All,

We just purchase 3 new AP 1830 but unable to join in Controller 2504. Existing we have AP 1702 and AP 1131 is working fine with the controller.

The 3 new AP have smartnet license and the Controller also smartnet license renew, but it cannot be join.

Please help!!

  - Check software compatibility between the AP-model and the current software version being used on the  controller.

Checked, if upgrade the WLC software, the existing AP 1131 unable to support, AP1170 and 1832 still alright.............

or any idea to downgrade the AP1832 software....?

 - Not possible ; meaning you have to follow the guidelines from :

   https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/compatibility/matrix/compatibility-matrix.html

In the worst case scenario , if you have a modern AP ; you will have to abandone the older ones ; but you will get more modern WiFi infrastructure.
