Cannot ping the BVI interface over wireless - WHY ???

Hi... I have a 1230 AP. I can ping the BVI from the ethernet side but not from the radio side. I can ping other devices on the ethernet side from the radio side. And I even see the WAP and the wireless client in the ARP table of both devices. Is there some reason I cannot contact the WAP from the wireless side ??

I believe that falls under the catagory of a "security feature."

If you also cannot ping from wireless device-to-wireless device, the you may have secure packet forwarding enabled (prevents one wireless client from being able to "attack" another wireless client).

You can disable secure packet forwarding easily in the "Interfaces" page of the WebGUI.

Check it out, let us know.

Good Luck

Scott

Thanks for the response. PSPF is disabled but for some reason today all is working. Kinda weird. Thanks again
