Catalyst AP unreachable

Hi

I got catalyst center Version 2.3.7.9-70301

I got an old WLC 5508 running 8.2.166.0

WLC has 56 AP online

Catalyst shows 72 AP unreachable from that WLC
WLC is green and reachable from Catalyst

from my pc i can ping all AP 

and WLC show 56 AP even from CLI

what do i miss here?

why Catalyst is showing more AP than what WLC have? it is 16 AP where are they

please ask questions that help here!

Why all AP are unreachable from catalyst point of view?

  - @Moudar   That's just a network reachability check for the device , the 5508 can not be used with
                       Catalyst Center.

on other box i got  AIR-CT8510-K9

show ap summary: 288 AP

on Catalyst i get 179 unreachable

288 are reachable

that WLC is supported but version i have is no supported 8.0.152.0

is that an explanation to what catalyst is doing

i did resync many time for that wlc but still the same

  - @Moudar    Catalyst center will only work with 8.10.196.0 which you would need for the 8540
                       controller. A reason more that it can not support the 5508 which no longer supports that version ,
