CBW150AX. Often Deauthentication - 4-Way Handshake timeout

Hello guys,

I have 2 CBW 150AX ACs, and about 40 clients. Often clients experience connectivity issues and deauthenticate with reason 15. I tried looking for a 4-Way Handshake configuration on 150AX, but couldn't find such an option. How to increase the timeout on this access point?

Thank you

Hi

Dont believe is possible for this device. At least nothing mentioned on the adm manual.  But, you said you have 40 users in two AP, 20 each average.

Make sure channel utilization is not too high, this could cause the clients to face timeout

"If Channel Utilization is high (greater than 75) and Interference is high in the serving channel, then change the channel in the AP. You can view the following error logs by navigating to Advanced > Logging > Logs.

Following is an example of a log displayed in the Logs window:

Thank you for your replay.

channel utilization is around 30-50% at peak (daily scrams), after that around 20-30. Any other options? Could this disconnections be related to the RF optimization/roaming setting/etc?

It could be and it could also related to some interference source on the local.  Does this problem started recencly? any change on the layout?

I have been using these APs for about a month, and such problems began almost immediately. There is some interference, according to the dashboard, how to deal with it?

You can´t. It is expected to have interference on wifi network and htis level of interference in 2.4 and 5.0ghz is totally ok.

You can think about perform a firmware upgrade just to make sure you are not facing any bug related problem.

Yes, I'm going to upgrade a FW soon. How many clients do you think these two APs can handle?

On the Cisco doc they say

Maximum clients

●  Maximum number of associated wireless clients: 200 per Wi-Fi radio, for a total of 400 clients per access point, or 1000 in a system

But this is not real, for sure.

I would not go over 20 users per AP.

yeah, this "not real" number is the only reason why I bought this AP... I have around 100 devices for now, dreamed of using only one AP.. Looks like I need at least 4 of them

Yeah, 25 user per AP is realistic. 100 is not.

Cisco may consider the ability of the AP to accept that amount of users but is does not consider the down side of having so many users under the same antenna. Air time utilization is critical and need to be observed.
