Hello. Can we change CW9162I-E to MR? If yes, then how?

Yes, you can, just add it to your inventory and then add the AP to the desired network.

If this is attached to a Cisco Enterprise WLC, you'll need to convert it on the WLC to Meraki mode. These instructions look good.

Hi, The article states that you need to order the correct AP with the part number -MR. But we have the wrong part number -E.

It also indicates how to migrate when the AP is already connected to the Catalyst 9800 series controller. We don't have a controller. We need to connect it to the Meraki cloud out of the box. We have Meraki licenses.
