Change Router Frequency

I have a Cisco Valet Plus router , that has become very slow wireless speeds - I think due to conflicts with many neighbors using the same frequency. How can I change my default frequency on my router?

Also, any other tips for increasing speeds.

Note: I get 50MPS when connected to the modem and 3 to 10 MPS when using the wireless - always using the same seedtest site.
