Hi,

I have an easy one for you guys,

I am currently running WLC - 2100 with software version : 7.0.98.0

My question is :

How to change the existing password ( not reset )  but change the password with the web interface ?

If that cant be done, then my guess is I have to do it via telnet/ssh session, can you please provide me with teh exact commands.

Thanks,

Soofi

Hello Soofi,

I am assuming that you know the current password and can login -- the process for password recovery is different.

From the GUI, you cannot change a password for a management user -- you can only add new users or remove old ones. (Under Management > Local Management Users)

From the Command Line (telnet/ssh), you can change the password for an already created username:

config mgmtuser password

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the ratings Patrick.  Next time I'll type a bit slower.
