Dear Support,
I have a satellite (30 users) site which has a Guest WLAN running on an 1100 terminating on a PIX 515E, the 1100 is also acting as a DHCP server for the Guest WLAN.
They have asked us to install PEAP, Microsoft RADIUS and/or IAS to implement a secure PEAP WLAN to complement their existing guest WLAN.
They have bought another AP, a Cisco 1230b/g and wish this to be configured in the same way.
We are looking at implementing EAP-MSCHAPv2 to avoid having to install certificates on each laptop.
It is a windows 2003 AD environment. With IBM XP Pro laptops
I have looked on the Microsoft and Cisco web site and it looks pretty straight forward the configuration, but they have asked the following before we commence work.
Is it able for a laptop user to disconnect from their wired connection, move to a meeting room (obviously with wireless coverage) and connect to the wireless network without login off/on or rebooting? (Or is it as hoped and they just need to input their AD username / password when they click on a network share / resource?)
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Best regards, Adrian.
