Cisco 1700: Autonomous Mode?

I got gifted a used Cisco AIR-CAT1702I-A-K9  AP. It was previously used with a controller.

I would like to use it as an AP for my LAN, connected directly to my C2960.

As I understand it, I have to flash a different version of IOS for this. Can somebody point me in the right direction on how to do this?

You need to have an autonomous image- k9w7 (eg ap3g2-k9w7-tar.153-3.JPJ3.tar) to use it as standalone AP. Without support contract, you may not able to download it  from Cisco.com (probably check with the person who gifted whether they able to support you).
