Cisco 2504 Wireless Controller Upgrading from 7.6.120.0 to 8.2.141.0

Hi All

I would like to know if a Cisco 2504 WLC  with current software version 7.6.120.0 can be upgraded directly from 7.6.120.0 to 8.2.141.0?

current  version 7.6.120.0 is aged out as “Deferred Releases”.

also if upgrading is possible how to download the new version

Yes, it can be done.

Please take a look at the release notes. The notes has the upgrade steps and supported upgrade path. You will need to reference this also in the future when you plan on upgrading again. 

The image is also available in Cisco support site as long as you hav a valid support contract.

Thanks a lot Scott , should we upgrade to the recomanded FUS version and all the connected Acces points to version 8.2.141.0 as well?

Yes, it doesn't hurt to upgrade the FUS code.
