Cisco 2802i with Ghost WLANs

i have a weird one.  I have a few 2800s that will have old and decommissioned (removed from the controller).  I was having clients not able to connect to our corporate flexconnect WLAN.  The guest WLAN was fine (mobility anchored).

I noticed when SSH'd on one of the APs, and issuing a "show flexconnect wlan", I would see old SSIDs.

I could only get rid of them by issuing the reload command from the actual AP, not rebooting from the controller, or bouncing the POE port.

I'm running 8.2.166.0 code on the WLC/APs

Hi

Looks like a bug to me.

Very similar to - CSCve38191 - Symptom 2

Description
Symptom:
Symptom 1:

An AP radio is seen to beacon the same SSID with multiple BSSIDs.
Clients are intermittently unable to connect to the SSID.

Symptom 2:

Even though a WLAN has been shut down, Some APs are seen to still beacon the SSID. Clients that attempt
to connect to the "ghost" SSID are unable to do so

Conditions:
Seen with 2800/3800 series APs - WLAN is FlexConnect locally switched.
Affected APs have gone into fallback mode.

Symptom 1:
Having N+N or N+1 with same configuration like SSID, WLAN ID and AP groups

Having an AP fallback and switching WLCs.

Symptom 2:
Affected APs were in fallback mode when the WLAN was disabled.

Workaround:
Symptom 1:

Putting the APs to different AP group.

Or remove the WLAns from the Affected Group. And add them Again to the group.

Putting the Ap to the default group

Symptom 2:

Reboot affected APs.
