we are planning to migrate 5508 (8.10) wlc to 9800 as a part of DNA structure. physical appliances delivery were delayed. So virtual wlc is deployed. basic configuration was done
My question here is, can we use IRCM or mobility group to migrate all the data from 5508 to 9800(no configuration on it except mgmt ip address and Webgui access) without any additional configuration. Please let me know if its possible and also important notes to follow(if there is).

There is no way you to migrate configuration data from 5508 to 9800. You can use the below config converting tool to get equivalent CLI configs for your 9800. However, you should go supported configuration & apply it once you understand what those configurations will do.
https://cway.cisco.com/wlc-config-converter/
In general, you should not have client SVI on your 9800 (in AireOS you always need client SVI on 5508 - called dynamic interfaces). Also understand tags & profile concept in 9800, those are new concepts & no equivalent in 5508. Below post may help you to get high level overview

Once you get 9800 configured & AP registered, you should able to use config analyzer tool given above by Marcel to validate your 9800 configuration agains Cisco best practices

- You can do IRCM between 5508 and 9800 (virtual wlc) : https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/compatibility/matrix/compatibility-matrix.html , Check Table 1 and look at column Cisco AireOS-IRCM Interoperability , for the 9800 virtual wlc you can always have a sanity check on its configuration with the CLI command : show tech wireless , have the output analyzed by https://cway.cisco.com/
