Connected the AP to POE and consoled. Once the boot process starts it gives this instead of the normal boot sequences.
Any help is much appreciated.

- The console baudrate is incorrect ; have a try with 115200 bps

Thank you for the information but it did not yield a resolution. I got the same outcome by changing the baudrate.

Anyway , the current baudrate is incorrect , try 9600 ; if already done , then try other terminal-(software) as a sanity check,

I have changed the baudrate to 9600 and it comes up the same. I did try a different terminal and got the same results. I even tried to factory reset but still nothing.

- Then I can only conclude that it could be damaged ; you could check that by connecting it to a Cisco switch and let it boot fully according to 'the mood that it is in' ; afterwards on the switch issue the command 'show cdp neighbor details' ; check if you can see any AP info for the port that the AP is connected too.
