Hi,
i have one Cisco Airespace 4136 and some AP1020.
All LEDs of the AP sequentially cycle on and off, according to the manual, the AP don't getting an IP or can't find the WLC.
At the Webinterface all AP's are shown and they are getting an IP from the local DHCP Server.
But if i like to change the name of the AP's or any other settings, they rebooting and this message appears at the log:
[ERROR] spam_l2.c 693: Max retransmissions reached on AP 00:0B:85:95:51:70 (CONFIGURE_COMMAND
, 7)
Version of the WLC: 3.2.195.13
Can anyone help me?
Kind regards Sebastian

Good to see these oldest AP model still works :)
I would suggest considering the replacement of these AP model rather working on these old hardware/software

IF the APs cannot get an IP address then it is not a wireless/WLC issue.

Hi, thanks for your answers.
the APs recieving an IP (yes for sure the date/time are not correct).
Bindings from all pools not associated with VRF:

Hardware address/
User name

Alright, i solved the problem, it was an issue with the Certs...
One last question, i'm looking for a "newer" version for the WLC but can't find anything, does someone have a tip?

Google the filename you're looking for and see where it takes you.

I am sure 7.0.x code may be the last supported in 4100 series WLC. Now the question is how to get those old codes as those are no longer available on Cisco and you may have to go through many step upgrades to go to 7.0.x code. More importantly with the latest code, your 1020 AP won't be supported
If you want to keep 1020 series and then 4.2.209.0 is the last supported code version (see below)
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/compatibility/matrix/compatibility-matrix.html#56735
If I was you, I would look for either 2504 with some 11ac APs to replace your current WiFi setup (again 2504 is EoL, however you can run 8.5.x codes on it). Else virtual 9800 WLC
