Cisco aironet 1815i (AIR-AP1815I-D-K9C) shows blinking red led after configuration.
unboxed and connected the AP through SSID “Cisco AirProvision” and configured the AP with Mobility Express setup. After rebooting the AP shows blinking red led.
Ap connected and powered up through Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series (C9200L-24P-4G-E) poe switch.
Connected in wireless vlan access port.
Changed the port on switch and ethernet cable . no luck
any suggestion ?
Boot process is attached.
Thanks in advance...

Contact Cisco TAC and get the AP RMA-ed. It is dead if the red LED is flashing.

Thanks Leo for your response.. but blinking red led means Ethernet link is not operational. The AP is not dead and I can login through console.

If you have access to console, post the entire boot-up process.

For these kind of issues , you may for instance at the switch-side configure the particular interface with logging event link-status, then check the logs as the ap is booting , also issue show interface status command, and last but not least look at interface counters, watch for errors if any.

Nothing wrong with the link. The ethernet port has successfully negotiated to 1 Gbps.

Hello Leo ,
I have purchased total 20 Access Points, same model (AIR-AP1815I-D-K9C).
Today I tried to configure another AP and ended up with same result.
I tried again and configured a third AP and it worked. Now the AP is working as a controller and also broadcasts ssid.
Now the user can connect and surf the internet through the AP. I still don't understand why the previous two AP's don't work.
I have attached the boot process of the working AP . Please check and let me know if you find any appropriate reason for the problem.
Thanks in advance..
