We are trying to install a Cisco 350 abg card on a Compaq Armada M700 running Windows 2000 SP4 with current patches applied. After installation of the ACU, the "enable radio" option on the utility is greyed out, but the ACU indicates the radio is disabled.
Removal and reinstallation of the ACU/driver does not seem to fix the problem.
We have tried a different 350 card and moving the disk drive to a different Compaq laptop.
Any suggestions of how to resolve this would be appreciated.
Thanks,

I had the same thing happen to me...I found that the wireless configuration service wasn't starting.
I went into services and kicked it back on and it worked just fine. It drove me nuts for two weeks until I figured it out.

Try uninstalling any built in utilities (like I have in my IBM laptop) (if any) and see if that helps. Like the other post, enable the wireless zero service from control panel -> services and see if that helps. Uncheck the option under Nic->properties-> Wireless networks which lets windows control the configuration of the NIC. This will let ACU control the NIC.

I noticed this issue was happening to me again, and if I put the card in before I power up the laptop it works fine, but if I put it in after the splash screen it won't enable the radio.
