  - In essence your question is 'beyond' the purpose of the forum , which deals with specific technical issues and question , you need to augment your knowledge on basic cisco  wireless concepts ,

Hi @Tria

Here is actually a good place to start.  The first thing we need to know to help you is how this AP is going to work? Is there only one AP or do you have more like this?  Do you have console cable to connect to the AP and change configuration? You need it.

Hi @Tria

Im not sure why i accepted as a solution. I do have a console cable and this AP will be used as an wireless network connection

Yeah, not sure either.  If you have a console cable, you have 50%. Now, you need to organize your stuff to get this AP working.

Is it a home network or is it a company?  Do you have a switch to connect with PoE? If you do, which switch is it?

I am assuming that this AP will work in what we call standalone, which is without a WLC. So, basically you need to make the first setup on it which is assign an IP address and then finish the configuration using a web browser, which is much more intuitive.

Its a company network,  yes I have a switch with POE and its a Power Dsine 8006  and yes its a standalone

Great. When you console to the AP what do you see?

I'mnot able to connect to it, maybe im doing it all wrong. I am very new to this?

If you were able to console into AP I can help you but you need to get there.

I have the console connected to my laptop and the access point has a red and green light simultaneously but nothing shows on my laptop

Not good.  You probably have the wrong cable. Test with  another cable please.

What should show up? or what am I looking for? Cisco admin login?

If you only have an access point but not a controller, then you need to convert the AP into a mobility controller following this guide and get to know some knowledge before deploying a Cisco solution:
