Cisco Catalyst 9800-40 Wireless Controller

Hi Have upgraded Cisco Catalyst 9800-40 Wireless Controller from 17.6.6 to 17.09.05 and it was working fine for few hours. I notice it went back to its previous version when I login next time. Any reason why? please help

 How did you do the  upgrade? CLI or web interface? Did you save the configuration?

Sounds to me something unsave was left and that´s why the old code returned.

If the command "install commit" is not entered and the roll-back timer (I think 8 hours), the WLC will roll back to the previous version.

If the upgrade was done using GUI, did anyone click the "Commit" button?

I don't think I saw the commit button. I did save and reload after everything was successful.

From the controller, post the complete output to the command "dir bootflash:*.conf".

most likely the cause

If you do not run the install commit command within 6 hours of the install activate issu command, the system will revert to the original commit position. You can choose to delay the commit using the Delayed Commit procedure.
