Cisco Limited Lifetime Hardware Warranty for APs damaged by ants

We have a number of APs that have expired contracts that just got damaged by ants. they can no longer power on. will this be covered by the WARR-LTD-LIFE-HW?

I would say no, but you can always initiate the process and see where that leads you too.

"Restrictions. This limited warranty does not apply if the Hardware (a) has been altered, except by Cisco or its authorized representative, (b) has not been installed, operated, repaired, or maintained in accordance with instructions supplied by Cisco, (c) has been subjected to abnormal physical or electrical stress, abnormal environmental conditions, misuse, negligence, or accident; or (d) is licensed for beta, evaluation, testing or demonstration purposes."

I would say that means that ant damage is very obviously EXCLUDED from warranty cover by clause (c).  The warranty is for the Cisco hardware but Cisco cannot be held responsible for ensuring the equipment is installed and used correctly!
