Cisco Wireless Bridges

Aironet access points have EAP which requires the clients to login before they get access to the wireless network. What security options exist for the Wireless bridges? Also when are the 350 Wireless bridges supposed to be released?

I was told the 350 bridges are supposed to be out by the end of this year. You have to use WEP on bridges.

Wireless bridges with new firmware can be configured with a user name and password, in the same fashion as the access points. It should be noted that the "client" PCs do not get authenticated in this design. This is because they are not wireless devices and do not need dynamic WEP keys. The WGB will get dynamic key configuration and will improve the WEP security.

The 350 series building to building bridges are planned for release at the end of September (per the Aironet product website). This is only a tentitive date.
