Cisco wireless setup on non-cisco LAN network

Hi frnds,

I've a site, where  we've non-cisco LAN network. Can i deploy Cisco WLC and AP's on that n/w.

Pls comment.

I did that already, works fine, nicer is to go with cisco in all points :).

U have to take care of VLANs or native vlans config as well, depends on the non-cisco devices ...and all the stuff Alyza mentioned..

Hello,

Will this be your first Cisco solution/devices on your network or do you already have existing Cisco (like switches)? It's possible to deploy Cisco WLC and Aironet access points on a non Cisco network infrastructure as long as your switches can handle your wireless data traffic. Points to consider as well is, if you need PoE, your PoE switches should also be compatible or meets the right protocol.
