we configured a SSO HA in cisco wlc 9800-l. we configured active wlc1 with RPI+RP and then factory reset wlc 2.
once wlc2 rebooted, we configured basic configuration like mgmt ip wireless wlan, user and EtherChannel to uplink and configure RMI+RP in wlc2. it would be rebooted automatically but nothing happened, and we lost the connection of wlc2. even we are not able to take access via consol cable. any idea what could be the issue??

Loss access to wlc2 is first sign of success sso.
From wlc1 monitor did you check the health of both wlc's?

- To use the console on the standby wireless controller, execute
the following commands from the active Catalyst 9800 Wireless controller
conf t
redundancy
main-cpu
standby console enable

i have asked onsite person to reboot wlc2 manually. lets see. may be wlc2 has hung.

show chassis
show chassis detail
show chassis ha-status local
show chassis ha-status active
show chassis ha-status standby
show chassis rmi
show redundancy
show redundancy history
show redundancy switchover history
show tech wireless redundancy
show redundancy states
show logging process stack_mgr internal to-file bootflash:

- Also note that if wlc2 would be factory reset again and there is still no console , then of course the fundamental problem with the box need to be resolved first (to get an initial configuration going) . After that use this guide :
https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/9800/17-1/deployment-guide/c9800-ha-sso-deployment-guide-rel-17-1.pdf
When all of that is finished checkout the configuration from the HA-primary controller with the CLI command
show tech wireless and let that be analyzed with Wireless Config Analyzer
