Cisco WLC and whatsapp delay message

Hi all,

this is my environment, one vWLC (rele 8.1) and many 2700 ap connected in flexconnected, one ssid with web auth with customized (internal to wlc) captive portal.

This is my issue checked: when we put the mobile phone samsung in sleep, after 15 - 25 minute the message from whatsapp are delayed (send and received).

i try to change the session timeout, idle timeout (global and on wlan) but i can't find solution on this problem.

Now i will try to sniff the traffic from the client.

Someone solve this issue..??

Did you guys turn off the background data update ?

Hang on, this is a totally different issue. 

A few years ago, Apple iPhones had this issue where the OS couldn't "prioritize" between WiFi traffic and cellular data traffic and kept sending data traffic down the cellular data path even though the WiFi signal is better.  I believe the issue happened with iOS 7.0 (but I could be mistaken).
