Cisco WLC4400 factory reset and current license recovery

Hi Team,

I'm trying to factory reset 4400 series wireless controllers, the current box have valid licenses.

My question is what is the process of recovering the licenses before the factory reset. Please advise.

4400 has fixed license hard-coded.  There is no way to "reset" the license.

Is this similar with 5500 series as well ? 

I got these two controllers (5508) and please find the stats as follows

The AP base count license was inherited from the Primary Controller.

Any AP base count license on HA-SKU controller is disregarded.

Same thing with the 5508.  

Besides, if the license gets accidentally wiped, send an email to license@cisco.com and provide the serial number of the appliance.  They can generate a new PAK very quickly.
