Clinets Connect to the SSID Successfully, but Cannot Ping the Gateway

Hi Folks,

My wireless is deployed as FlexConnect Mode and the SSID is configured with 802.1X using ISE. The system works fine but at sometimes, when my computer connect successfully with the SSID, I cannot ping the gateway and the cannot access any network source, I have checked that the IP is already given to the client and the wireless icon of the windows shows the wireless works fine, too. Yesterday, I restarted my computer and reconnect the SSID and then it's OK. Today the same situation occurs and restart doesn't work. I remove my computer in the WLC to force the reauthentication, then it's OK again. Did anybody have the same situation before? Thanks!

You need to look at the WLAN to vlan mapping for each AP and also the trunk port configuration. Your client might roam to an AP that has the wrong vlan mapping or trunk port setting and that will cause connectivity issues.
