CNFGR-5-LIC_REQUEST_FAILURE on WLC 2504

Today I found some messages on my wlc 2504 controller in message log:

*spamApTask5: Feb 04 16:27:27.854: #CNFGR-5-LIC_REQUEST_FAILURE: cnfgr.c:1442 License request for feature data_encryption failed, return code is 18

[...It occurred 2 times/sec!.]

The wireless network is working well, but the massage errors always occurs.

Please help me solve this problem and understand what's going.

Hi Dwi,

Can you paste the output of this command from WLC: sh syinfo

Normally DTLS license will be installed later then 7.0 code on WLC. In sh sysinfo you will  see this , DTLS license needs to enable data encryption.

Check this :

Build Type....................................... DATA + WPS + LDPE

If its there then there is no worry.

so do i have to enable data encrytion on dtls license ?

HI,

The main question here is : Your WLAN is working perfectly and still you are getting logs. If you are running 7.0.220.0 or higher, you have the license installed because it is inbuilt image.
