Hello Team, I hope you are all well.
I hope you can help me with a problem I'm having with an EPSON L365 printer. We have this printer at a remote site that previously connected via WPS to the ISP's internet router. Now we've added Meraki devices (MX, MR, MS) to this site. The architecture is simply MX <--- MS <---- MR. We have two MR36 access points and an EPSON L365 printer that won't connect. It always gets stuck on the printer's response screen, and the error message is:
- The printer was factory reset to remove the network it was connected to.
- It's not receiving an IP address via DHCP (DHCP is configured on the MX).
- A static IP address was assigned via a reservation on the MX.
- I've restarted the printer repeatedly, but nothing has worked.
The wireless network is operating on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, and the printer operates on 2.4 GHz. It has a PSK and is connected via a printer VLAN.
I see it connected in the dashboard, but it never configures correctly to print the test page.
The Mx doesn't block any ports; everything is allowed. It only blocks L7 applications (specific websites).
If anyone has experienced something similar, I hope they can share their experience.

You mentioned having a dedicated VLAN but not receiving an IP address. Did you correctly tag the VLAN on both the switch port and the SSID?
Is it possible to share the configuration?

Yes,
Share configuration dashboard
Port Switch
Are there any particular settings for wireless printers?

No, there are no particular settings for the printer.
And what about the port connected to the MX, how is it configured?
Is the MX the gateway for all networks or is it the switch? If it's the switch, you need to configure the IP helper address.
You're probably forgetting some very small detail.

This is configuration port switch with conection MX
Configuration MX : all vlans
I'll keep looking for the same information. I think there's more to wireless, but maybe I'm forgetting something.

The MX is gateway all networks

If you try to connect another device to the same network, will it receive an IP address?
If you configure an MX port and set the access mode to VLAN 40, will the device receive an IP address?

I receive an IP address when I connect via VLAN 40.
I'm still investigating what the problem might be; perhaps it's something in the Wi-Fi configuration.

If you plug a notebook into the printer VLAN on the switch - does it work?
If you attach a notebook to the SSID that the printer uses - does it work?

If you receive an IP address when connecting to a laptop via Wi-Fi, create a temporary SSID with the same VLAN.
I'm still investigating the cause of the problem.
