configuring wep-key with third-party wireless client.

hello.

we tested with cisco AP1100 with my laptop (intel wireless card).

at first,we tested linksys AP with wep-key. it is great.

at second,we tested CISCO AP1100 with wep-key.

but, it is fail.

we configured it, below.

ap1200(config)# interface dot11radio 0

ap1200(config-if)# encryption key xx size 128 xxxx transmit-key

but,cisco ap does not authenticate labtop,

at last, any laptop connect cisco ap,anytime.

You know that most APs support upto 4 sets of wep keys. and for security reasons, Cisco APs (i think) they default to second key rather than the first. I would suggest, to open up the WEB gui of the AP, loging using username and password (Cisco,Cisco - defaults) and go to Encryption Manager and configure the wep key in the first field. This should probably help

Also try turning off aironet extensions if using Cisco AP with third party cards.
