ACU Authentication under Linux

I'm running Suse9.2, and have good success with generally getting my miniPCI cisco WLAN working with any non-LEAP based WLAN. On the same machine (a Dell D400) I also have a window2000 running ACU (v6.1.002), which authenticated with our company LEAP network, no problems; but the linux version (v2.1.13) simply says "Authentication Failed"... not very helpful... I've tried all options with no success. The only thing that looks possible is that the windows version asks for a domain?? Could that be the problem.

I've looked at some code airoleap.c which is available on the internet, for clues, but no luck yet.

Under Linux, the only way to enter Username/Password for LEAP authentication is within ACU. No provisions exist for a Linux machine without X, or for offering LEAP authentication without allowing users access to the full capabilities of ACU. A separate (command-line) utility for LEAP authentication would seem to be the best solution.

Thanks for the response. Using ACU as a means to enter the authentication is not the problem. I am running KDE and ACU with no problem. Well,... the problem is simply that authentication doesn't... I simply get "Authentication failed". As I said I also have a window boot partition, also with ACU and that works fine, so it must be a difference in the way ACU works between Linux and Windows. The version numbers are in the original post. I still believe its something to do with the domain definition, i.e. the Windows' version asks for the domain.
