Connect CISCO ASA 5505 to ASUS AC1900 router then to cell phone WIFI

Hi all, I am certainly a newbie in networking, but would like some expertise if you have a moment.

I have a home office with a PC and IP desk phone for my employer connected through a CISCO ASA 5505, then hardwired to my home internet via a router and then a modem. (no wifi connection here)

I wish to take my "office" the PC, Phone connected to the CISCO ASA 5505 and make it mobile.

I purchased a  ASUS AC1900 wifi router thinking I could create a wifi bridge. Connect my CISCO via an ethernet cable to the ASUS then to my phone via wifi. However this has failed for me. Once the router is set up as a bridge, it works for other devices in my home, but not with the CISCO device. I am now assuming this is part of the security settings, which does not allow the CISCO to connect to a wireless device. Does this sound correct? Is there anyway I can achieve this set-up and maintain a high security setting?

Thanks for your time reading this and replying.

Terry

You would have to talk to the company about their policies on this. Im guessing the configuration of the ASA would be hard coded with IP addresses and establishing a VPN to the office and adding the ASUS in the path is causing issues with this.

One solution that might work is utilizing an AP configured for OEAP.
