Controller detected duplicate Ip address

Hi,

On Prime I am getting this message:

Controller '10.0.0.148' detected duplicate Ip address '10.2.48.8' being used by machine with mac address 'cc:46:d6:59:7b:53'.

10.0.0.148 is the Management IP Address

10.2.48.8 is an interface configured on the WLC:

interface-wlc.JPG

'cc:46:d6:59:7b:53' is the MAC of the same interface.

WLC is in HA, one is 10.0.0.146 which is active and the other is 10.0.0.145 which is standby

Other message that came directly after the first one:

Redundancy notification trap triggered by Controller '10.0.0.148' having Redundancy-Management IP '10.0.0.146', Local state is 'Active' and Peer Redundancy-Management IP '10.0.0.145' and peer state 'StandbyHot'.

Here is how that interface look like on the active WLC 10.0.0.146:

Here is how that interface look like on the active WLC 10.0.0.145:

145-wlc.JPG

So the alarm I am getting is saying that the standby WLC is using the same IP as the active! I think that it should be so, or do I miss something?

All other interfaces on the WLC are configured the same but do not send alarms on Prime!

So why I am getting that alarm? Any ideas

I'd say either:
- Prime bug detecting the problem incorrectly or
- WLC bug or
- instability in the HA.  Use the "show redundancy" commands to check for any issues with HA.

You don't mention the AireOS version or the Prime version though.
Make sure the WLC is up to date as per the TAC recommended link below and make sure Prime is up to date with latest version and patches.

I think the mask make issue

The RMI and Mgmt in same subnet

The RPI must config in differ subnet

The 255.255.240.0

This I think issue here
