Determining Line of Sight

Hello,

I'm faced with installing a WLAN between two buildings. They're about 2 KM a part. I think I have line of sight between the two, but is there any way to be absolutely sure. I'm wondering if I purchased one of those little laser thingies if that'd do it.

Suggestions?

Dave

Hi Dave

a) There is visual line of sight and another is RF line of sight . You will need

both .

b) For visual line of sight if you can see remote antenna that is fine . Make sure there is no tree or building in between

c) We need to take freznel zone into consideration . use bridge antenna calculator . Suggestion is do not use long coax cable between antenna and

bridge

mainly watch the middle led which is STATUS LED . When two antenna

sees each other it will go SOLID ....otherwise it will BLINK .
